Every GG Candle is hand-poured with care, and we want you to enjoy every crackle, glow, and scent throw to the fullest. Here’s how to make the magic last.

✨ First Burn Matters

Your first burn sets the tone. Allow your candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel (usually 2–3 hours). This helps prevent “tunneling” and ensures an even burn every time.

Before each burn, trim your wood wick to about 1/4 inch. This keeps your flame clean, prevents excess soot, and helps your candle burn longer.
If the flame is too tall or flickering wildly, extinguish it, trim the wick, and relight once the wax has cooled.

🔥 How to Light a Wood Wick

Lighting a wood wick is a little different — but once you know the trick, you’ll love the slow, soothing crackle.

Start with a clean wick.
Before lighting, make sure the wick is trimmed to about 1/4 inch and free of any charred bits from the last burn. This helps the flame catch easily and stay steady.

Tilt and hold your flame.
When lighting, tilt your candle slightly and hold your lighter or match across the full width of the wood wick for 5–10 seconds. Wood wicks need a little longer to ignite because they burn the wax, not just the wood.

Let the flame establish itself.
Once it’s lit, give the flame a moment to build its own rhythm. It may flicker or appear smaller at first — that’s completely normal. Within a minute or two, it will even out and begin its signature crackle.

If it goes out quickly:

Check that your wick is trimmed short (around 1/4 inch).

Relight while tilting the candle slightly so the flame reaches both sides of the wick.

Avoid lighting in a drafty area — still air helps it catch faster.

Once your flame settles, sit back and listen for that cozy crackle — it’s the sound of luxury.

🪞 Burn Time & Placement

Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
Keep away from drafts, vents, fans, and anything flammable.
Never leave your candle unattended or within reach of children or pets.

🌙 When to Say Goodbye

When about ½ inch of wax remains, it’s time to retire your candle. Never burn to the bottom — the glass can become dangerously hot.

Once cooled, your glass vessel can be cleaned out and reused for makeup brushes, pens, or flowers — because boujee doesn’t go to waste.

💌 Returns & Replacements

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches, so variations in color, frosting, or texture are completely normal and part of the artisanal charm.

Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. However, if your candle arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@GGCandles.com with a photo of the issue. We’ll replace it right away.
